WDCL Update on Covid-19 Chess Suspended

WDCL Updated Statement on Covid-19

Events have moved very quickly since Thursday 12th when we followed Government advice that public events did not need to be suspended.

Subsequently the ECF have recommended suspension of all chess.

WDCL will follow this advice and suspend all team and individual chess competitions organised by WDCL with effect from midnight Sunday 15th March until further notice.

If clubs decide to continue to play their fixtures the results will not be counted in the competitions they were arranged for and submission of results for grading will not take place.

We will notify all clubs when we are in a position to know how the season might be completed.
