Rock Cup / Bidgood Trophy draws

The Round 1 games have been completed with the last match played last night.

I now have 11 players in the Rock Cup and 9 players in the Bidgood Trophy (sadly one player is eliminated due to a first round default). To get down to eight players for the quarter-finals, just three matches (Rock Cup) and one match (Bidgood Trophy) are required in this second round with all other players having a bye.

The second round draw is:-

Rock Cup – Adrian Hussain (BSM) v Simon Jones (BSH)
Malcolm Phipps (BSM) v Mark Podlesak (BSH)
Robert Marshall (WOL) v Peter Banks (HAL)

Bidgood Trophy – Peter Evans (MER) v Martin Hathaway (HAL)

As before the first named player has white. The second named player has Black but is at home and his responsible for contacting his/her opponent within a week with an offer of three dates. Results to me please from both players (not just the winner!) by Saturday 12th December. It would be wise to provisionally agree a second date within this timescale for a replay in the event of a draw.
