Rock and Bidgood Finals

WDCL President Dave Hodkinson oversaw the start of both individual cup finals on Tuesday 28th March at Mercia. In the all-Mercia Rock Cup Barry Smith won the toss and chose White. Despite a long and hard match he lost late on to Andrew McCumiskey. In the Bidgood Trophy, Phil Maybury of Warley Quinborne played White against Chris Bateson and had enough pressure to create some double pawns and win on time.
